Garden Grove is a prospering city with a present population of 172,000 and covers 17.8 square miles of total land area. It was founded by Dr, Alonzo Cook and incorporated on the 18th of June, the year 1956. In 2006, Garden Grove celebrated its 50th birthday. Garden Grove has a very convenient place south of Los Angeles in Orange County. Numerous attractions are found close by, such as Disneyland (1 mile), Knotts Berry Farm (7 miles), beaches (roughly 9 miles) and the John Wayne Airport (10 miles).
